Replacing missing teeth
A dental implant replaces a missing tooth with a titanium post in the jawbone and a natural-looking crown on top. OrthoalignX provides teeth implants at our clinic in Aishbagh, Lucknow, planned around your bite and your other treatment. Implant dentistry is part of our complete dental care, so your implant, gums and neighbouring teeth are looked after together.

Questions
A dental implant is a small titanium post placed in the jawbone where a tooth is missing. Once the bone has bonded to it, a crown is fixed on top so it looks and works like a natural tooth.
The procedure is done under local anaesthesia, so you should not feel pain during it. Some soreness and swelling for a few days afterwards is normal and is managed with regular painkillers.
Placing the implant takes one visit. The bone usually needs about three to six months to bond with it before the final crown is fitted. If a bone graft is needed first, it takes longer.
Most adults with healthy gums and enough jawbone are suitable. Uncontrolled diabetes, heavy smoking and some medicines can affect healing, so we check your health and take an X-ray or scan before planning.
With good brushing, flossing and regular check-ups, implants can last many years. The crown on top may need replacing over time.
A bridge is fixed to the teeth on either side of the gap, which means trimming them. An implant replaces the tooth on its own and leaves neighbouring teeth untouched. We explain both, and dentures, at the consultation.
